At the Glade we are constantly striving to offer the best possible care to residents in our homes. As each of us gets older we will need varying levels of support to help us live our lives. Our aim is to ensure that when you come to live in one of our homes you continue to enjoy a good quality of life within a safe and relaxed environment. Our business is a people business with care delivered by people to people. While the quality of our home’s environment is important, more important, in our view, is the quality of staff we employ – they are our key resource. We recruit locally and look to train, support and develop all staff in order that they can deliver our vision of what good care should be.
About Us
The home has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and residents are encouraged to continue to engage in personal and social activities which reflect their interests and hobbies. We aim to provide the highest standards of care and support.
Accommodation
All our rooms are individual and we encourage our residents to bring their own furniture and nik naks to really make it home. This make the Glade has a very homely feel and does not feel like a hotel or large corporate care home.
Medical Care
We provide 24 hour personal care and we have the services of an optician, dentist and dietitian when required, as well as visits from a GP.
Each bedroom has en-suite toilet and all rooms have a call bell fitted and linked to the system for the purposes of health, safety and well being of our residents, with clothes being washed and ironed in our on-site laundry.
Catering & Services
We know which food each of our residents enjoys most and which food will be good for their health. Meals and home baking are prepared in our kitchen by our own cooks. Menus are rotated and refreshed regularly. All our menus are designed to ensure that our residents receive a nutritious, well-balanced diet which meets their individual needs, all of which meet and exceed minimum specification that is set out by the Scottish Care Inspectorate.
